The Lobby Lounge, located in the Hotel du Pont’s promenade, was newly renovated in 2011, and evokes the glamorous feel of the recent lobby renovation. The design was created to offer a stylish, inviting casual dining experience. The rich color and bold patterns reenergize the space creating a welcoming atmosphere. Tall upholstered banquettes create height and drama while exciting combinations of rich exotic woods and cleaned lined furnishings, with a rich pop of red for visual energy, create an intimate place to relax. The space is punctuated with black and white photography of the local imagery which builds upon the city’s historical significance and ties back to the roots of not only the hotel but rich connections to the DuPont Corporation.
