For the last eight years Bruce Anthony has earned his living playing mostly solo gigs at places like the Homegrown in Newark, Harry’s Savoy Grille in North Wilmington, Prince on the Delaware in New Castle, and the former Black Trumpet Bistro (now 1717) in Trolley Square. So lets add Extreme Pizza to the list. He plays mostly covers of timeless jazz standards, flavoring them with his own interpretation, and occasionally slips in an original tune into a set. There are no record deals in the future or concert tours on his schedule; he is content merely to be a mainstay on the smaller stages in Delaware, which provide him the freedom to work not as a matinee idol but as a craftsman, noodling and figuring and perfecting the art of playing and performing.

Anthony begins playing at 8:30 and will go until 10:30. Come support this amazing local musician simply by eating and drinking and enjoying his music.
